thirty years ago, Mr. Loughran died.
There are many forts in this district. There is one on Gun Hill in Syddan, which Cromwell built. It is circular in form.
He built the fort for his cannon guns. The owners of the land have never interfered with the fort when ploughing.
Another fort is at Woodtown. A man ploughing round it one day, heard churning. He asked for a drink of butter milk. When he came back to the place again there was a cup of butter milk on the ground.
