   And wonder up that narrow lane To the lovely ruins of the Hill of Slane. And as the Boyne goes rolling on To mingle with the sea at last So like the Boyne time rolls for me When I shall gaze once more on thee And mingle with the loved ones there Then I'll feel far from every care. And when death comes to end all pain Just let me rest on the Hill of Slane. There were a good many more who made rhymes about dance houses, weddings and different events. The chief of those was Mr Markey of Grangegeeth Slane which were called the Comalaus.

   Mr Sheils is a famous poet. He lives in Drogheda. He wrote many poems namely "The Woods of Slane" and the "Boyne Valley." He was not gifted with any power for this purpose, he just worked them out of his head.
