happened and he was in a terrible state. He was consoled very much one night when he was asleep an angel appeared to him and told him to commence again. So he started the following night and stopped awake to watch, coming on morning he fell asleep and when the masons came to do their work they found it complete.

  2. I won't go to the races,
    I don't care a rush.
But I will stay at home listening
    To Murphys grand thrush.
    He sings in the sunshine,
    He sings in the rain.
    And he gladdens the hearts
    Of the people of Slane.
The bird was well cared for,
    And fed to the best.
    And our local good priests
    They bought him a nest.
