    started off along the path while the others waited beyond the danger gone to await developments. The young fellow went well prepared wearing a pair of spurs. In a flash the Pooka ran under him and he drove the spurs into its sides shouting, "Now show what you can do," like lightning the Pooka rose mountain high in the air and hurled him into the depths of the pool. The splash of his body being plainly heard by the others who were watching. They lost no time in sprinting for home which they reached in record time and when they related their experience, the "Wild Farm" got a wide berth. It is believed that this uncanny creature is still there but beyond giving its riders a good shaking. It has never been known to seriously harm anyone. And certainly would not have drowned the young fellow had he not tried to beat him.
