  1. The Black & Tan
    1
On the fifth day of December, well do mind the date
I was coming home from Nonsuch with an asses load of peat
I was coming fair and aesy and making little noise
When a Black and Tan stepped up to me and took me by surprise.
    2
He said " you're doing it nicely with your little asses load
But come back and help to fill the cut below on Dublin Road.
I stood and looked around me, there was nobody in view
And if I did refuse him I know well what he'd do.
    3
But if I had a rifle and a round or two of lead
I would'nt have any hesitation but I'd shoot the ruffian dead.
