    Money is then gathered. It is divided by giving the same amount of money to every person. The grown up men spend the money in the public houses, and the boys buy sweets, and apples and oranges.
    St Patrick's Day
    On St Patrick's Day it is customary for men and women to wear shamrocks in their hats and caps, or pinned to their breasts. The children wear badges and crosses in honour of St Patrick
