  2. Green Rushes
    People useto get green rushes and leave them on the table a month before they get married. If the rushes were withered on the day of the wedding it would bring good luck to the house.
    People in the parish say - "i will spread green rushes for you if you have not visited them for some time. The words are used in welcoming one.
