  2. The people used to get the potato and if there was any bit of it good, they would take it out. They used to do this till they got a good amount and then they would make colcannon out of it.

  3. The famine field is in Grangemore. The potatoes did not fail too bad there. Briscoe owned the field and he gave the people six potatoes a day, but they took more. Briscoe found out, and he put a man to watch and he put up a notice "Take no more than your share or you will be severly punished"
