    After four days they would draw loads of turf mould and put it on the top to keep the heat down and make it burn better.
    When it got cool the kiln was covered with sheets of iron as the rain slackened the lime it would not be do good for use.
    The tools used were picks, shovels, sledges, and stone hammers.
    This lime was used for building houses and white-washing houses.
    Some people sold it in the nearest town.
