- Long ago, marriages were more frequent than nowadays. The people Tuesday and Saturday were unlucky days to get married.
April and November and July were the most frequent time of the year to get married. Money was given or stock as dowry to the bride.
Long ago the bride us to go to the chapel on a horse and cart with a quilt on her knees.
the breakfast and dinner was always in the bride's house and after the dinner there was always a dance.
All the neighbours and friends attended the dance to wish the bride luck and brought her gifts.
There was always an old boot or shoe thrown after the cart top wish her luck.
