There was a man out hunting all day in Newforest and when he finished he was beside the Hermitage. He went inside to see it and found an old man dying, The dying man asked the hunter to go for the priest, but he refused saying that he was hungry and tired. Then the old man asked again and said he would get bread and honey in the Hermitage. Then he agreed and went. When he reached the road he heard the noise of a horses' hooves in the distance, he stood waiting to see who it was.
