  1. There are two forges in the district, one in the village of Streamstown and the other in Teampull near the village of Horseleap. They are owned by cousins and their fathers and grandfathers were blacksmiths for generations.
    The forge in Streamstown is the one with which I am most familiar. It is made of stone-work and is roofed with wood and the wood is covered with felt. There are two large half-doors on the forge and there is a large iron bar to go across the door when it is closed.
    There is one large fireplace in the forge and the bellows is placed in a niche in the wall.
