- The Shirt FactoryThe shirt factory was situated in Dominick Street where the Coliseum stands now. It was founded in the seventeenth century. The whole business was owned by Todd Burns who still has it in Dublin.There were fifty people employed in the factory. The manager was Mr. Barrington and Mr. Coughlan was the clerk. Mr. Cannon was the cutter out. He lived in the second last house in Millmount Terrace and he wa an English man. Mr. Coughlan was an Irish man and he lived in Harbour Street.(continues on next page)
