- A gentleman once sent his servant who was a native of Dysart to a friend who lived in a town to deliver a letter to him. The town was a far way off and everybody had to walk in olden times.
When he reached the town the master was not at home. He had to wait to get and answer to the letter and it was a fairly late hour when he left the town.
The master wanted him to stay for the night but he would not. So he started for home.
He was some miles gone when he heard a horse trotting behind him as he thought. After a while the man on the horse caught up to him and said "Good night" calling him by his name and told him that he was out very late.(continues on next page)- Informant
