There is a well on the summit of Knock Eyon and there was a chapel in olden times and it is said that the well is the holy water font. It never runs out of water and it cures toothaches.
There is a well in Ballinafid, and it is called St Patricks Well, but it is full of stones and scraws now. There is a stone wall round it and inside the well are a few trees. There is writing on the stone wall but it is hard to make out the words.
The water that is in St Anne's Well in Yourells field wIll not boil and it was often tried.
There is a well below at the back of Leckeys called the Kennel well. It gives anyone who drinks it a good appetite.
