- (continued from previous page)There are two headstones in Balrath marking the grave of a general who was killed there in a battle.
- There is a rock at Jamestown bridge on the left hand side of the road and it is called the cluff rock. Long ago there was a battle in Dundonnel and the man with two thumbs held the kings horse at that rock. There is a rock on the side of the Glascorn road where a man fell off a horse long ago and broke his neck and every corpse that passed there used to be left down and the De Profundis was said. There is a steeple in Churchtown graveyard(continues on next page)
