    shallow very quickly it is a sign of more rain.
    When there is a circle round the moon it is a sign of rain. The bigger the circle the nearer the rain, and the smaller the circle the further away the rain.
    When the sky is red in the morning it is the sign of rain during the day.
    When the smoke goes straight up from the chimney it is a sign of frost.
