  1. About two months ago while demolishing a side-wall in the Old Church here to erect a new hall, the work-men discovered the skull of a horse embedded in the masonry. Long ago masons put such skulls in to create an echo in the building.
    Additions to a house are never put on the western as it is considered unlucky.
