When the clouds are very black and dull it is a sign of rain. When the stars are shining very brightly is is a sign of frost. When the cat scrapes wood it is a sign of a storm. When the dog covers his four paws with its tail it is a sign of hardship. When the dust rises up and flies about it is a sign of a storm.
- WHen the clouds are dark is is a sure sign of rain. When there is no dew on the grass on a summer's morning there will be rain that day. The wind that blows from the west generally brings rain.
