- (continued from previous page)eaten on Easter Sunday. Bouls and wooden noggins and panacians were used in the district before cups and mugs became common. Long ago when men were going to work, they used to bring potatoes in their pockets and when they would go home they would eat porridge. Salt meat was eaten with potatoes. The people got a fork and stuck a potato on the top of it, and pointed it at the meat, it was called a dip and point. In fact some people will not drink out of a cup at all, nowadays, they always say the second cup never the same as the first cup.
