  1. I live in the townland of Treel. It is situated in the parish of Clonguish and in the Barony of Longford. There are ten families in the townland and approximately forty-five people.
    Treel got its name because there are long strips of land in it. There are three old people in this district, their names are:- John Mc Goey, Mrs Mc Goey, Miss E. Greene.
    All of them can tell stories in English but not in Irish. The houses were much much numerous long ago that at present.
