    was the activities of undaunted Shaun Mc Keon the Blacksmith of Ballinalee and the gallant band of Longford men he commanded. It was after a hard day's toil and much discussion on the Irish question, that Jim Mallon the Gelsha Blacksmith had the following strange dream. Jim dreamt he was the guest of a former high king king of Ireland - Roderick O Connor whose grand castle he thought was just a few perches from Thadys pool - where Parnell addressed one of the largest meetings in the Midlands during the land League days. The king was surround by a large crowd of patriots of other days. The king was among others included was Henery Grattan, Lord Edward Fitzgerald Wolfe Tone and last but not least Páid O Donoghue the famous blacksmith from the plains of Royal Meath. The Harp of Tara was played by a beautiful caílín dressed in Green. She must have been a former queen of Eirn Jim says Sh played the "Boys of Wexford". "God save Ireland" "Garryowen" and "Tara's Halls
