- The Fitzsimons of Cullinmore, Dring were losing their butter. They were advised to stop up at night & watch their cows. As it happened they did so on May Eve. At four o'clock on May morning they went out & saw a hare sucking the cow. They had a wonderful fast greyhound & soon they procured him & gave chase to this hare. The greyhound followed, & followed the hare, but was not able to capture her. At length, however, he came very close on her just as she was near an old cabin of a house & as there was a blind window in the cabin the hare made good her escape, but the greyhound caught her by the tail as she was escaping & tore it.
The Fitzsimons who followed the hunt quickly arrived on the scene & upon entering the old cabin found(continues on next page)- Informant
