A very old game amongst children is "Hop Scotch", it is played by two girls. Each girl gets a stone, and throws it as far as she is able, and then they start together and hop on one foot, and whoever hops the greatest distance wins the game.
On Hallow Eve night I "duck" for a sixpence, try to eat an apple, which hangs from the ceiling, and burn nuts at the fire.
