    part cut the potatoes, and by this is meant that they get a knife cut all good sound potatoes into "splits", each split must have at least one, two or three eyes, otherwise they would be "blind sets" and nothing would result from them.
    The people about here always plant their early seed before or after Saint Patrick's Day. Later seed is put down at the end of the end of March or early in April. They consider it very lucky to plant on Good Friday, and above all the have their potatoes down before the Cuckoo comes
