    On May Day it is the custom in this locality to cover a white thorn bush with primroses, or some other white flowers and leave it outside the door, this is called a "May Bush."
    On Saint John's Night bonfires are kindled on the neighbouring hills and the young people gather together and amuse themselves around them.
