Old people say that when the end of the rainbow touches earth it is a sign of showery weather
    They also say.
"A rainbow in the morning is the shepherd's warning.
A rainbow at night is the shepherd's delight".
When the wind blows from the south we have a good deal of rain
When it blows from the north we have frost. When it blows from the east we have cold unhealthy weather. When the wind blows from the west the weather is dry and warm. The south west wind brings most rain to our district.
People Judge the weather by birds also. If hens go to bed early in the evening that is a sign that the next day will be good.
When it is raining and the hens come out it is a sign that the rain will cease but if the hens stay in the shelter it is a sign that the rain will continue
The ducks quack very loudly entirely
