- This is how a rag doll is made. A stocking is required with the foot cut off. Then this is stuffed with hay or old rags. Next there are four bits of sticks got. two for arms and two for legs. When stuffing the stocking there is a [?] left for the head. This is stuffed with hay in a round shape. Two glass beads are put in for eyes. Woll is got stuck on the head for hair. A rag doll is of no use only for a novelty.
