    to pass an old Rath.
One fine morning in the harvest as Mick was on his daily journey and just as he was passing the Rath he stopped to break off a traneen to ready his pipe. He thought he heard voices near him. He listened attentively and sure enough he heard something that made the heart nearly stop within him. He stood stock still, and this is what he heard, apparently sung by a whole tribe of tiny voices -
    "O! Mickey Johnston
    If you could only guess
The secret the fairy folk possess
You'd be riding along in your coach and four
    With plenty to eat
    And money galore."
