    A witch riding on a broom is a familiar sight which is supposed to be seen on Hallow Eve night also. But "Will o" the wisp or William Cooper as he is also called is out riding on that night.
    There is an old story told that this William Cooper after his death was too good for Hell and too bad for Heaven, and so he was sent through the would and can be seen on the night of the last day of October as a ball of light appearing at intervals and disappearing just as quickly.
    On Hallow Eve night people have a cake
