Out spoke Bartle Rashford a smith I am betrayed,
My father was a farmer, long in his grave he's laid,
The house which he was born in, the bailiffs did lay low,
You'll never want Pat Rashford's hand said Bartle from Coolroe.11
Then to the forge went Bartle and loud the anvil rung,
And with his stout strong arms the heavy sledge he swung,
