    the Irish priesthood; he was noble by descent, he was generous and kind, he was beloved by his flock and it is therefore not to be wondered at if his memory has not waned after the lapse of a hundred years. Now when in the mercy of God the days of our tribulations are over we never should forget the memory of the good priests who brought hope and comfort to our forefathers in the Penal days.
