The teachers lodged in the farmers' houses.The children paid a penny a week or in some cases 10/- a quarter if they could afford it.No Irish was taught to my remembrance in these times.The Books cost according to the Class thus 1d for a First Book 2d for 2nd Book + so on.Slates were they only medium of writing
