  1. Saint Bridget's Well
    There are many holy wells in the Parish of Rathangan and many stories relating to them. There is one in Brideswell, Bridgetown and the legend told about it is peculiar.
    It is said that a travelling woman once washed clothes in it and Saint Brigid came that night and brought the well away in a tub with twelve candles lighting around it.
    It is now in Mr Reid's field. Its waters cure a head-ache and a tooth-ache.
