    The people of long ago suffered a lot of hardships in the country from the landlords.
    The landlord in the district of Duncormack was Mr Boley of New Ross, and he made the people of Duncormack pay heavy rates and rent to him. If they were unable, he drove them out of their little homes.
    Most of these people were farmers of the district.
