  1. Holy Wells
    "Oh!" thats and old cure" is an expression one often hears in Wexford. The cures of long ago are greatly trusted especially by old people. There are many historical places in Wexford and also many old cures and holy wells dotted here and there over the country side.
    About three miles outside Wexford near Ferry Carrig at Lady Danes there is a holy well, at which each sufferer leaves a memorial as it is believed the disease remains with the memorial. It is also believed that anyone touching the memorial will get the disease.
    Another well is situated at Browns Castle - Saint Mullins Well- where the sufferer is obliged to visit three times
