  1. Wexford being an old town has many secret passages many of which are not yet discovered.
    The Friary Church in the main centre of those passages. The principal one leads to the quay and it was by this passage that Miss Mary Keating-after her wedding to Sir Thomas Desmond escaped from Wexford.
    Another passage from the Friary leads to a house opposite the Presentation Convent in Francis Street.
    There is another passage from Sinnott's shop to South Main Street to Cromwells Fort and another to the three Rocks. These passages were used by Cromwell.
