The Blessed Virgin is associated with the well. It is said that she appeared to a man who was kneeling at the well and cured him there.
That holy well is remarkable for its numerous cures. Water was taken out of the well and brought all over the world. When people go there they bring water home with them. Things are left there such as medals and prayer-books.
