  1. This game of hide the linger is still played among our playmates in the following way. Any number of children can play this game. Anything will do for the linger as long as its not too big to hide.
    A button or a thimple or some other small article is usually used. One person gets the linger and all the children that are playing hide their faces while she hides it.
    When the linger is hidden she shouts out "The linger is hid and can't be found".
    Then they all run around and look for the linger everywhere about them and when one of them finds it then it is her turn to hide it.
