  2. This s the way my Mother makes a griddle cake. She does not put a big fire on only a few sticks and about five lumps of coal. She then puts two bricks on the fire one on each side. Then she puts the griddle on the fire and while it is heating. She makes the cake in the losset. The Losset is a square shape and is made of wood. There are edges all around it to keep the flour from falling out when she is kneading the dough
