  1. Hallowe'en is one of the greatest feasts of the year and there are many old customs performed during the Festival.
    Placing a tub of water with apples nuts and money, on the floor and dipping to try and recover some of the articles from the bottom, is a custom carried out to the present day, and it is great fun for the children.
    Another game is played by hanging a piece of stick on a cord from the ceiling, placing an apple on one end of the stick and the lighting candle on the other, this is spun round, one of the players bling folded try to grab the apple in the mouth but many a time the candle is caught instead and much merriment is provided by this.
    A ring is formed by players, and one goes to the centre, spins a bottle and whoever the neck points to when the bottle stops is kissed by the player in the centre.
