This horse doctor never went by any other name than the Fairy man.
It was said that he could cure horses and other animals "from any distance" without actually seeing or treating them.
The example is of a young man named John Middleton of Ballinure who had a horst that had many lumps on it. He was advised to go to this fairy man and tell his troubles. He did so, and when he met this Fairy man, he was(continues on next page)- Informant
