    Kish - Ciseán a KISH of pigs, a KISH of brogues, when boots were sold on markets - Kish = Basket

    Searús - (Searbhús) sarcastic talk. Also used as an adjective thus:-
    " I don't like him with his "SEARUSED" talk
    "A "GOB" of "SEARÚS" on him.

    Fack - a Spade (never called a "spade" here always "FACK")

    Plackeen - a cloak thrown over the shoulders and worn by an old woman ( = plaic = soft part of neck?)

    Brosna - bundle of sticks
    Tall-yoge - a loft over the fire-place for holding old things
    Ciaróg - ear-wig
    Ciotóg - left hand
    Shruleen - a little stream or well

    Minny Gabar - snipe that makes a whirring noise at night
    minny = minneán?

    Cor Iasg also "Granny Cor Iasg" - Gráinne Cor Iasg = crane or heron

    Spideóg - a small thing

    Grainneóg(?) - used usually derisively of small man or woman

    a Dul - a noose - he put a DUL on the rope or cord

    Coileán - a pup, a brat

    he had no CALL to it - he had no right to it

    Sganlián(?) - a bad potato
    Bán - yard or open space before the door
