My name is Michael Kinsella,
A man who is well known,
I am the village blacksmith,
Do a business of my own.
My forge is up in Monaseed,
Convenient to the school.
With the village pumps outside my gate,
To keep my irons cool.11
I've lately bought an engine,
To help me with my trade.
But the devil a much it has done yet,
For of it I'm afraid.
It looks quite nice and harmless,
Erected in its shed;
But when I go to start it,
I fairly lose my head.111
The neighbours come to look at me,
When my engine starts to go.
