- Hurling and Football Matches.There was a hurling match between Wexford and another team in Wexford. The goals were small about two feet high and three feet long and they were round. There were fifteen men on each side. The teams were picked out of the counties. The ball had to get into the ring to be a goal and there were no points counted. This match was played forty years ago.

- About thirty years ago a football team or a hurling team had twenty one men on the team. After a while it came down to nineteen and after a while it came down to seventeen, and about eighteen years ago it came down to fifteen men on a team.
