There was a dwelling house burned in Mounthoward in June 1936. Mr Kinsella owned the house. Mrs Kinsella was baking bread and a spark went up the chimney and fell on the thatch and set it on fire. It was burning for a long time till a man named Mr Doyle came in and told her the house was on fire. She did not know what to do for a while.
