    That is when the first three get the hole, if any of their marbles were rolled to brinks, when it came to their turn they could go up along brinks to hit a marble.
    A players marble can not be hit when in brinks.
    The following is a diagram of the different names and their positions :-

    The rings around the holes are called "Span-Lines" which are used for spanning that is, when a person gets a hole he puts his marble on the Span-Line to guard the hole.
    If a player's marble is in a certain place when it comes to his turn he must throw from that place.
