    Christmas day. After the dinner the table was swung up to the wall on hinges and used as a seat. Then the working class did not get their supper until ten o clock. It consisted of yellow meal porridge and butter milk. They were glad to get that food.
    One time there were three men sent to work on the Bog of Boley Ballycullant Co. Wexford. They would not get any money until they had the work done. They had went to a shop in Gusserane Ballycullane Co. Wexford for a stone of meal. The man would not give it to them.
