- Jack Wynne is the name of the smith. His forge is situated beside a stream and near a cross-road. The implements in his forge are, an anvil, bellows, sledge, hammer, iron chisels, smith's coal, knives, horse nails, frost nails, pincers, files, rasp. He shoes horses, asses, ponies and jennets. He shoes cart wheels in the open air and some machines he cannot get into the forge.
