    Industries which were carried on in Edenderry in the past
    Other industries extensively carried on were Woolen Manufacture, Weaving, the manufacture of Linen, Boot making, Felt Hat manufacture Nail-making besides several smaller industries. The Breweries and Distilleries existed in the town while the other trades were principally carried on in the vicinity of Coneyboro, lying between the east end of the town and the Boyne River. Most of the houses there have since been leveled.
    Flax-growing at that time afford a fruitful source of income to the farmers of the locality.
